1 oz Silver American Eagle CoinThis mint of the silver dollar has the Walking Lady Liberty on the front. A Adolf A. Weinman design that was used on the half dollar between 1916 and 1947. It depicts Lady Liberty walking towards the sun along with the words "In God We Trust". The reverse side is minted with the Heraldic Eagle which was designed by John Mercanti. It depicts an eagle with shield clutching an olive branch in its right foot and arrows in its left foot. The beak holds a banner that reads "E Pluribus Unum." Also stamped on the coin are 13 stars which are used to represent the original 13 colonies.The Silver Eagle has been printed by the US mint since 1986 as a bullion coin. Each is printed using 99.9 % pure silver. It is printed with a $1 tender. All coins are printed at the West Point Mint with excess stamping being conducted at the San Francisco Mint.
