About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words.Smart all-purpose headphones.How did you come up with the idea for this product?Tesoro strived to look beyond the “status quo” in the in-ear headset market to deliver a solution with added value. After talking with end-users, our biggest challenge was from an acoustic perspective; designing a product that made it recognizably easy to fit the right earbud in the respective ear without looking down. After vigorous brainstorming and testing we concluded that instead of using one’s eyes, we would try to implement an intuitive way that would not use the sense of sight. The solution lay in the sense of touch. The unique magnetic storage feature came to light when we uncovered people had different styles of how to wear the headset when they are not plugged into the ears; generally straddling around their neck, hanging over one side of the neck or tucked into their pocket. No matter how they are stored, we wanted to provide a tangle-free design.
