About Biltmore Pas De Deux Sparkling Moscato 750 ML Wine

Brand Story Wine became a family tradition when George Vanderbilt entertained his first guests at Biltmore in 1895. Knowing that he collected, enjoyed, and shared wine is the underlying inspiration for our winemaking today. In the 1960’s, George Vanderbilt’s grandson William A.V. Cecil decided that a winery was the logical extension of his grandfather’s intention for a self-sustaining estate. Vineyards were established in 1971 and Biltmore Winery opened in 1895 in a converted dairy barn that sits on the grounds of Biltmore Estate. Today we produce award-winning wines using fruit harvested from our own vineyard in Asheville, NC as well as from partners across N.C. and other premium growing regions including California and Washington. Varieties grown in our vineyards include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Riesling, among others. Winemakers Bernard Delille from France and Sharon Fenchak from Pennsylvania bring a perfect blend of talent and passion to 15 varietals and more than 45 wines they handcraft each year. Despite their distinctly different backgrounds, the two share a common approach to winemaking as they create high-quality wines that are true to varietal character as well as food-friendly and a great value. "I always make the analogy this way: the music of the vineyard has been written by a composer, what Sharon and I do is to interpret that music." -WINEMAKER BERNARD DELILLE
