Motorcraft part number FA-1883 is a direct OE replacement engine air filter for: Ford: (2007-2026 Expedition, 2009-2026 F-150, 2015-2020 F-150/Lobo, 2008-2016 F-250 Super Duty, 2008-2016 F-350 Super Duty, 2008-2016 F-450 Super Duty, 2008-2016 F-550 Super Duty) Lincoln: (2009-2014 Mark LT, 2007-2026 Navigator) FA-1883 replaces part numbers FA-1903 and AL3Z-9601-A. Motorcraft engine air filters are manufactured and tested to meet strict Ford, SAE, and ISO standards to ensure peak performance throughout the life cycle of the filter. The air filters must pass a battery of tests that include filter efficiency and capacity throughout the filter's life cycle, construction integrity in extreme conditions, water soak and rupture tests, and heat and humidity aging. Motorcraft designs filters specifically for each vehicle application to help ensure the right fit, improve engine performance, and reduce engine contamination. The multi-fiber high-density media used in Motorcraft engine air filters capture harmful contaminants yet minimize restriction even as the filter approaches the end of its useful life. The filter media is impregnated with phenolic resin that retains the pleated shape when exposed to heat and moisture. Each air filter is coated with a special chemical (surfactant) that enhances initial filtering efficiency and capacity. The surfactant coating is formulated to help resist damage from oil and moisture. The engine air filters also feature a polyurethane seal material that provides superior sealing when exposed to high and low temperature cycles (-40 to +250 degrees Fahrenheit).
