Product Description Jarrow Formulas Vitamin D3 is formulated with cholecalciferol, the form of vitamin D that may improve vitamin D status better than equivalent amounts of ergocalciferol (D2).* Each serving of Jarrow Formulas Vitamin D3 contains 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3, so you receive the amount of this essential nutrient to support your health. D3 is also the form produced by skin with UVB exposure (sunlight). Vitamin D3 is converted to its hormonally-active form, calcitriol, which enhances dietary calcium and phosphorous absorption, supports the production of osteocalcin (a structural protein in bone), and stimulates the vitamin D receptor in innate immune cells to support a healthy immune response.* Contains no wheat, gluten, soybeans, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish, peanuts/tree nuts, or sesame. Adults take 1 softgel once a day with a fat-containing meal.
