Schmincke was founded by both Herman Schmincke and Joseph Horadam In 1881, Professor Cesaret Muscini, who developed paint in Florence Academy in Italy, inherited the recipes of traditional resin oil paints and muscini oil paintings. Later in 1893, the Horadam Transparent Watercolor Paint was invented to the highest quality in Europe, and the company was patented in Europe, rapidly developing and earned the position of the top German paint manufacturer. Schmincke was recognized throughout its long history and endorsed by many famous artists and restorators. Today, Schmincke has made its mission to create the world's most quality German paints Wanted for "German Standard" in 2013. One of the founders, Joseph Horadam invented Horadam transparent watercolors in Europe in 1893 and patented in Europe. Solid pigment-rich watercolors are produced in 3-5 months of time and effort to produce the product. This is the only way Schmincke is produced in the world.
