From the Manufacturer Imagine two router bits that create any door in 5/8-Inch to 1-1/4-Inch door thickness range, create "rattle free" flat panel doors, create any length long tenon construction and more. That's what Freud's new Premier Adjustable Rail and Stile router bit systems do. They work exactly like traditional rail and stile router bits to enhance door construction. Adjustable shims enable both a tight fit when using plywood panels and the ability to use thick panels ( from 5.5mm to 6.35mm ). The unique cutter geometry virtually eliminates tearout. Top portion of cutter, including bearing and spindle, is removed to produce the front of the long tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons, or bridle joints. Bits feature Freud's Perma-Shield coating that reduces heat and pitch build up along with rust, and Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide to maximize bit life and material finish. Optional cutters are available for double profile doors (99-861) and glass panel doors (54-760) with variable thicknesses and long tenons for perfecting matching profiles on all doors because it's the same set of router bits. This set produces a Ogee profile and all bits have 1/2-Inch shanks. That's what Freud's new Premier Rail and Stile router bit systems do.
