Each slat must be installed correctly and be fully inserted inside the wire mesh of your fence to achieve the desired results. Each slat is designed to be 3.5" shorter than the height of your chain-link fence to accommodate installation and protect the slats from bending at the top. When compared to privacy screens or tape, which can end up being translucent after installation, these slats are opaque and block the view from the outside. They come in a wide variety of colors. Coverage is dependent on the type of slat and size of mesh. Commercial privacy screens can also begin to wear after 3–5 years and even tear if a piece of bent chain link gets stuck to them, making these tubes a more desirable choice.
