Concrete Countertop Square Edge Package - Z Features

  • Includes 8 x 8' pieces (64 ft.) of Square Edge Form and 6 x 8' pieces (48 ft.) of Back Wall Form

  • Cast-in-place concrete then snap the forms away. Easy break away design.

  • Place 1/2" hardie Backer board on top of cabinets or base then screw forms into the backer board.

  • Includes Back Wall Form (4th photo) which can be used anywhere the countertop is up against a wall. It can also be used to create openings for drop in sinks or cook tops.

  • Creates a 2-1/4" tall edge with a 5/8" of drop down to cover your substrate. This means you are pouring 1-5/8" thick of concrete and your finished height is 2-1/8" above the cabinet tops.

About Concrete Countertop Square Edge Package - Z

The Z Counterform System is a revolutionary forming method for cast-in-place concrete countertops. It eliminates the need to screw into the front of the cabinets and provides many different decorative profiles. Saves time and money when pouring concrete countertops. To use, place 1/2" cement board (Durock or Hardie Backer) on top of the cabinets. The cement board should be cut flush to the edge of the cabinets and held in place with silicon caulking. The forms will then be screwed into the cement board with a 5/8" x #10 panhead screw . After the concrete is poured, the forms are snapped off along the designated "break point" to reveal a beautiful clean edge. Can be used with any concrete countertop mix or high strength concrete mix. Edges should be vibrated to eliminate trapped air which causes pinholes and voids in the concrete edge.
