About 3M Full Tapered Cartridge Roll 341D - 60

Product Description 3M Cartridge Roll 341D gives you easy access to small, hard-to-reach spaces for sanding and finishing. As the outermost abrasive layer wears down, the cloth backing frays to expose fresh abrasive layers for continued cutting action. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Full Tapered Cartridge Roll 341D has a tapered tip that allows grinding and finishing in tight spaces, corners, and crevices. As the outermost abrasive layer of the taper wears down, the cloth backing frays to expose fresh abrasive layers of mineral for continued cutting action. The aluminum oxide cartridge attaches to a steel threaded cartridge roll mandrel (sold separately) for use with a hand-held die grinder or rotary drill. Applications include flash removal and finishing on metal pieces such as medical equipment, car parts, and machine components. The 341D full tapered cartridge roll is constructed with aluminum oxide, a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure. A full tapered cartridge roll fits onto a compatible steel mandrel (sold separately) that attaches to a rotary tool such as a die grinder or rotary drill. Together, the mandrel and cartridge roll enable the user to grind or finish hard-to-reach areas of a workpiece, such as corners and tight curves. To ensure correct fit, the center hole diameter of the cartridge roll must be equal to the diameter of the mandrel pilot inserted into the cartridge roll. For more than a century, 3M has applied innovation and technology to improving our customers’ lives and supporting their business goals.
