Patching tip: From my clinical experience I have witnessed a small percentage of kids develop some mild skin irritation after wearing any type of adhesive eye patch after a couple of hours. If this occurs, we recommend to apply some Milk of Magnesia around the eye which is being patched and let dry before applying the patch. This is a recommendation made by the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus ( AAPOS). https://www.aapos.org/terms/conditions/86
