In 1963, the Pirelli tire company began publishing an annual trade calendar, given as a corporate gift to important customers and chosen celebrities. In its decades of publication, "the Cal" has brought some of the world's best photographers and some of the world's most beautiful and notable women together to produce a deluxe, often risqué, play on the pinup calendar.
