About Our Lady Of Kibeho: Mary Speaks To The World From

Product Description Thirteen years before the bloody 1994 genocide that swept across Rwanda and left more than a million people dead, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ appeared to eight young people in the remote village of Kibeho. Through these visionaries, Mary and Jesus warned of the looming holocaust, which (they assured) could be averted if Rwandans opened their hearts to God and embraced His love. Mary also sent messages to government and church leaders to instruct them how to end the ethnic hatred simmering in their country. She warned them that Rwanda would become "a river of blood"—a land of unspeakable carnage—if the hatred of the people was not quickly quelled by love. Some leaders listened, but very few believed. The prophetic and apocalyptic warnings tragically came true during 100 horrifying days of savage bloodletting and mass murder. Much like what happened at similar sites such as Fátima and Lourdes, the messengers of Kibeho were at first mocked and disbelieved. But as miracle after miracle occurred in the tiny village, tens of thousands of Rwandans journeyed to Kibeho to behold the apparitions. After the genocide, and two decades of rigorous investigation, Our Lady of Kibeho became the first and only Vatican-approved Marian (related to the Virgin Mary) site in all of Africa. But the story still remained largely unknown. Now, however, Immaculée Ilibagiza has changed all that. She has made many pilgrimages to Kibeho, both before and after the holocaust, has personally witnessed true miracles, and has spoken with a number of the visionaries themselves. What she has discovered will deeply touch your heart! Review “This beautifully written book touches your soul. Anyone searching for peace will find the path to faith and forgiveness in Our Lady of Kibeho.” — Amy Polasky, the founder of LLI Academy of Foreign Affairs “If you believe that the genocide that happened in predominantly Catholic Rwanda was one of those isolated things that could never happen anywhere else—think again. This incredible book will open your eyes to how, from pure love, heaven warns us of the consequences of forgetting about God and pleads with us continually to begin anew a life closer to the Lord through prayer, penance, conversion, and preparation for the return of Christ.” — Oscar I. Delgado, film producer and the former Latin American Bureau Chief of NBC News "A fascinating account of the most recent apparition of Our Lady to receive Vatican recognition. The story of Kibeho is filled with the mystery of the conflict of good and evil, of the justice and mercy of God, of unanswerable questions of life leading us to take our refuge in the heart of the Holy Mother and in the hands of Divine Mercy. Like [Immaculée’s] other [work], Left to Tell, you will never forget this book." — Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel, Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, Larchmont, New York “The appearances of the Virgin Mary in the little African village of Kibeho, Rwanda, is one of the most important apparitions in recent history and will take its place among other historical giants, like those of Guadalupe and Fátima. This book, however, is more than the story of an apparition. It’s a remarkable story of how Rwanda, a country divided by ethnic hatreds and shattered by one of the bloodiest genocides in human history, is being reunited and healed through a singular faith in the enduring love of the Virgin Mary.” — Drew Mariani, the nationally syndicated talk-show host and award-winning writer, producer, and director   “Why did God send the Queen of Heaven and Earth, mother of Christ, and mother of all peoples to Kibeho, Rwanda? Why did the Blessed Virgin choose to come into the heart of rural Africa with messages for the entire world? Immaculée, like a flower that has sprung from the soil of Kibeho, has dedicated her life to addressing these questions and helping us to understand the messages the Blessed Mother delivered to three visiona
