The USB2-H-6004 is a USB to 4 channel RS422 level serial UART adaptor incorporating FTDI’s FT4232H Hi-Speed USB2.0 (480 Mb/s) to dual serial UART interface IC device. The FT4232H handles all the USB signaling and protocols. The enclosure incorporates a standard USB-Mini-B client connector for connection to an upstream host or hub port. RS422-level signals are available on two industry-standard DE-9P (DB9) connectors. The maximum RS422-level data rate is 10 Mbps. Pin 9 of the D-sub connector can provide +5 V power output with maximum 250 mA. The USB2-H-5004 adapter requires USB device drivers, available for free for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms. CE / FCC approved.
