About POLY & BARK Weave Chair, Single, Natural
Designed in 1949 by Denmark’s foremost furniture designer Hans Wegner, the original wishbone chair was inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs and is considered one of his most distinguished designs from his prolific portfolio of more than 500 pieces. The wishbone chair is widely utilized as a dining or occasional chair in stylish contemporary interiors due to its generous size and lightweight structure. The steam bent back and arm rail achieves the profile of poultry wishbones through traditional manufacturing methods whilst the tapered legs and natural paper cord are add an exotic touch.
