Here is a great plant I wanted this plant for a while and finally found some and brought it home. We have hard rocky clay which is hard for anything to grow in but this took off We are in Zone 6 and the winter does not hurt it. It is easy to grow. It will tolerate everything from near drought to being under water. And grow as tall as 3 or 4 feet. It works well when mixed in with other plants along a pond edge. Full sun or part sun is fine. Overview The horsetail plant, also called scouring rush, Horsetail grows naturally in wet places such as swamps and ditches or planted along ponds and water features in home landscapes. The plant has creeping rhizomes that grow aggressively but can be controlled. Just pull up any unwanted plant or mow over them Just plant them a little deeper the what they were, this will help the stand up and will promote new root grow, on some of the taller plants, YOU MIGHT GET SOME TOPS BROWNING WHICH IS COMMON the roots will keep growing and will come back when given time (2-3 MONTHS PLEASE IF YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK PLEASE WAIT TILL THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO GROW THEM!! If after 3 months and no groweth just send me a picture of all of the roots and we will send replacements. This can be planted in the sun if introduced a little at a time or new growth is started in the full sun. Partial shade to shade plant and does best in the shade.
