Epiphytic cacti are native from the jungles of Mexico to South America. Branches profusely to form pendant hanging basket. Flowers are various colors followed by decorative fruits. Prefers warm nights and frost. Water thoroughly when soil is dry. Place it in the shade with filtered sun or morning sunlight. It has green stems covered with white fuzzy hair, not spiking. Given stronger light, the stems will supposedly turn purplish and the hairs get denser. It likes a rich, quick-draining soil mix such as a mix of potting soil, some small lava stones, a bit of sand, and tree barks.
