This Joe Morrell Pro Series Lap Steel is made of solid maple for added sustain over other woods. It has a slotted headstock and upward facing tuners for easier tuning adjustments and tuning changed on the fly! This 8 string version has a Kent Armstrong Stinger 7 single coil Alnico V pickup. This epoxy design has a 2 core lead and is wound just slightly hotter than vintage to have a smooth warm single coil tone. As with all Morrell Lap Steel Guitar models, the Joe Morrell Pro Series is handcrafted in the USA! Length: 31 3/4" Width Upper Bout: 6 1/4" Width Lower Bout: 8 1/2" Thickness: 1 3/4" Fret Markers: 3 Octave, Screen Scale Length: 22 3/4" String Spacing at Bridge: 3/8" String Spacing at Nut: 9/32" Tuners: Chrome Enclosed Tuning Machines Bridge: Morrell Stainless Steel Jack: 1/4" Side Mount Backing: Felt The JM Pro Morrell Lap Steel comes standard with Joe Morrell String Set JMLS-E and is tuned to E Major.
