About Apogee Aspire

The Apogee Aspire is the highest flying model rocket in the world. It can soar to over 1 mile high (5,280 feet) on a single "F" size rocket engine (SOLD SEPARATELY). It is totally "legal" since it weighs under 1-pound at launch; it doesn't need any type of government permission to fly this high. When you launch it, you'll get an overpowering giddy feeling of reaching fantastic heights and getting people to notice what you've done. You'll come home with a nice smug feeling, knowing you WOWed a lot of folks. The Apogee Aspire sports that "classic rocket shape." Your friends will marvel at the simple elegance of the rocket and how lightweight it is when they pick it up. The Apogee Aspire is also an easy-to-assemble rocket. If you're pressed for time and need to build several different rockets for the launch this coming weekend, you'll find that it goes together quickly. You'll probably finish it in half an evening, giving yourself plenty of time to work on other rocket projects too. If you are a parent, and you want to give your kids a bigger rocket to work on, the Apogee Aspire is a great choice. As your child builds it, they will learn the basic guiding principles of rocketry, so that you will be able to tackle other rockets that are more complex and daring. The rocket can also use a wide variety of motors and it does come with an adapter to use the 24mm diameter C, D and E rocket motors. So if you don't want to launch the rocket into orbit, you can simply choose a smaller rocket engine. Recommended 24mm diameter rocket engines (SOLD SEPARATELY, REQUIRED TO LAUNCH): Estes C11-7, D12-7, E9-6, Apogee Components E6-6, Aerotech E15-10, E30-7. Recommended 29mm diameter rocket engines (SOLD SEPARATELY, REQUIRED TO LAUNCH): Apogee Components F10-8, Aerotech F20-7, F23-7, F42-7, G11-10R/L. REQUIRES A MIDPOWER ROCKET LAUNCH PAD AND CONTROLLER, MOTOR, PLUS FINISHING SUPPLIES LIKE GLUE AND PAINT (SOLD SEPARATELY).
