Hand carved obsidian arrowheads. Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. Obsidian is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Obsidian was very useful to the American Indians because it could be chipped and fractured in any direction, making it a perfect material to shape tools and weapon points. Please keep in mind that these stones will have variations in color and shape. May have iron or hematite inclusions which may be orange or red in appearance. We cannot guarantee any specifications on shape or size as each stone is different. You will receive four black obsidian arrowheads similar to the reference images. Ranges approximately 1-2" long measured at the longest points
