About 6-foot Set Of Narrow-Lower Fret Wire For

This is six feet of beautiful, durable 18% nickel-silver fret wire, in handy straight 8-inch lengths. This fret wire is very close in size to Stewart-MacDonald's #764 "Narrow/Low" fret wire, and can be used to repair/replace frets on an existing mandolin, banjo, dulcimer or other smaller instrument, as well as for new instrument building. The dimensions are as follows: Crown Width: .053" (1.35mm), Crown Height: .031" (.79mm), Tang Depth: .060" (1.52mm). A slot width of .023" is recommended for best results when installing this fret wire. We also include our 2-page "Fretting Tips and Tricks" how-to guide with every set, to give the beginning fretter a starting point for what to do.
