About Petals Of The Moon: A Poetry Collection

Product description Petals of the Moon is a collection of poems that take the reader through the journey of night. From the Author This collection of poetry is themed in the night. All things we may experience that keep us from sleeping. Insomnia, longing and depression can cause many to feel alone in their darkness. This journey of night themed poems is a bit on the darker side but it is meant to inspire the reader. No one should ever feel alone in their suffering. From the Inside Flap . I lost another night of sleep As if I would sleep anyway The dark season has been here awhile I doubt the sun even recalls my name Although my laughter Is logged in memory And the sun begs a smile daily This will be a season I remember When tears tattooed my pillow And sleep forgot to come home From the Back Cover . Phantom memories of my past Fade in and out Like stars on a cloudy night The harder I try to see The more I lose sight Without direction I wander Without the moon I am lost About the Author Churchill is a writer and artist from the Midwest. After losing her father in an accident at a young age she turned to writing and creating art. Growing up in a rural town she had the opportunity to live inside of nature. Many of her words are based on her natural surroundings as well her experiences of tragedy and love she has lived through. Churchill had tragedy hit again in her young thirties when she became widowed by the horrific murder of her husband. Journaling and writing poetry saved her in many ways. Churchill has a Masters in Secondary Education and currently resides in Michigan.
