Leonardo da Vinci was one of the great minds of all time. This self-portrait, now in the collection of the Biblioteca Reale in Turin Italy was drawn. At the time of this self-portrait, Leonardo was living in Milan. He spent the last 3 years of his life in France where he died in 1519. This portrait was used on an Italian stamp honoring the 500th anniversary of his birth in 1952.This image is from the Ars Antigua collection of over 500,000 engravings and lithographs from the 16th to 20th century.
