This 40w LED wall pack light without auto on/off sensor is a contractor favorite! This no frills fixture offers simple efficiency and reliability at a low cost. Based on a traditional outdoor wallpack design this LED wall light brings modern efficiency to a classic design. It is built to withstand the elements for years to come with a dark bronze colored polyester powder coated finish designed to resist oxidation and corrosion for the L70 50,000 hour rated life of the fixture. The lens is made from real tempered glass and not plastic so unlike other inferior products this one will not oxidize and turn yellow as it ages. Real glass allows more light to pass through than plastic as well improving foot candle levels outside where you need them. The IP65 rated housing of this fixture is fully gasketed at all seams for maximum protection against dust and water ingress. Need knockout holes? This entire series comes standard with a total of 3 half-inch diameter knockouts. Install with NPT or use them for LED compatible lighting controls such as motion or daylight sensors. The mounting bracket is designed for maximum efficiency while installing so you can get off the job faster. Simply mount the bracket to the junction box, hang the fixure from the lower part of the bracket to complete wiring, and then move fixture into place on the bracket and tighten the set screws to secure it in place. At 40 watts this LED outdoor light compares in light output to HID such as metal halide (MH) or high pressure sodium (HPS) up to 250 watts. Additionally, HID fixtures require a ballast that consumes additional power not included on the wattage rating listed whereas with LED the 40 watt rating is the entire consumption period.
