When choosing a tarp there are many factors including design, material, size/coverage, versatility, durability & tie outs ,ect. 1. Unique Design: Easy to set up with 9 tie downs of this camping shelter double reinforced. Compare the same sizes. A 10' square rain fly is not the same as a 10' diamond (smaller with less coverage - easy to get wet). 2. Material. Made of strong 210D rip-stop Oxford fabric ,Ripstop nylon is lightweight, durable, tear & puncture resistant, weather resistant and stronger. YZtree rain flys have a 2000 PU waterproof rating. 3. Size/Coverage. Rectangular or square (like ours) provides the most setup configurations. Hex or Cat cuts provide excellent coverage & are lighter. Winter/4 Season with doors is more like a tent for hammocks (we have the Fortress). We are NOT fans of small diamond rain flys because they offer poor coverage and are hard to stay dry in a storm. 4. Tie Outs. Our D-Ring tie outs are built for tent poles & secured with loops giving you a backup/second anchor point. Widely used as tent tarp, hammock shelter, tent footprint and blanket.
