Product Description All sets Feature Freud's NEW Premier Adjustable Rail & Stile Bits. Includes 2 adjustable raised panel cabinet bit sets with backcutters. Set contains Part #99-760 round over bit, 1-11/16" dia., 7/32" large radius, 1/2" shank; Part #99-569 cove with backcutter bit, 3-1/2" dia., 1-1/2" radius, 1/2" shank. From the Manufacturer This new 3-Piece Door Bit Set combines the New 99-760 Premier Adjustable Rail and Stile bits along with the 99-569 2+2 raised panel bit with backcutter. This set allows the woodworker to build doors from 5/8 inch to 1-1/4 inch thickness and ANY length long tenon construction for rock-solid joints that last a lifetime. Top portion of cutter, including bearing and spindle, is removed to produce the front of the long tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons, or bridle joints. Imagine creating rattle free flat panel doors. Adjustable shims enable both a tight fit when using plywood panels and the ability to use thick panels ( from 5.5mm to 6.35mm ). The unique cutter geometry virtually eliminates tearout. This set features Freud's 99-569 2 + 2 raised panel bit w/backcutter. Two small wings that cut downward and two large wings that shear upward, produce an extremely smooth cut in hardwoods, softwoods and even plywoods. This revolutionary design is combined with a backcutter so that, in one step, you can create a flawless raised panel door that is flush with the frame on both sides. Bits feature Freud's Perma-Shield coating to resist heat and pitch build up along with rust, and Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide to maximize bit life and material finish. This set is designed for use on table-mounted portable routers. Optional cutters are available for double sided profile doors (99-860) and glass panel doors (54-760) with variable thicknesses and long tenons for perfecting matching profiles on all doors because it's the same set of router bits. This set produces an Quarter Round profile on the rail and stile and a cove profile on the panel bit.
