Eodp T Shimano is abbot of New York Zendo in NYC, and of Dai Bosatsu Zendo in upstate NY. He trained as a Rinzai Zen Buddhist monk under Gempo Roshi and Nakagawa Soen Roshi in Japan, and studied several years with Yasutani Roshi. He is an heir of Soen Roshi's lineage. He came to NY in 1960 and is now an American citizen active in the American Sen Buddhism and in Buddhist-Christian relations. This book is Zen Buddhism with a Rinzai View.
