This 6g septum pincher is made from black glass. The gauge size refers to the sides of the notch, and the notch will be smaller than the gauge by about 0.5mm. The inner diameter is 1/2". 14g does not have a notch. Gorilla Glass measures the gauge by the mm, not the inch. So for larger gauges: 2g will be 6mm, 0g will be 8mm, 00g will be 9mm, 7/16" will be 11mm, and 1/2" will be 12mm.
