The development of beaks continued throughout the 20th century in parallel with the instrument. The development of a beak being closely linked to that of the instrument, Selmer took advantage of his experience in these 2 activities to develop a comprehensive range of spouts that meets the expectations of all types of musicians.

The S80 has a warm sound, a sound that is wide and expansive. The S80 C* a room square, an opening of 2.00 mm and a table length of 27mm. The beak baritone saxophone Selmer S80 is made from ebonite, a rubber hardened by the addition of sulfur which makes this material extremely stable. Drafted on a tower, torches are then polished, and then the chamber is pierced, a draft of the table is performed, and finally the light and the end are milled.
