"Jinbei" is maybe the most traditonal summer lounge clothing for men in Japan. More than just a lounge set, this fresh and comfortable informal clothing is also usually worn during Japanese summer festivals (Matsuri). Woven with traditional "Shijira" technique, this fabric has a dictinctive crepe-like texture with a pleasant feel on the skin. The top part can be simply worn like a jacket and secured with its string, and the trousers have an elastic waistband so they can be quickly and easily put on and off, just like regular pants.
