About Ski Tracks
Soft pastel painting on sanded paper, 21x27 inches. Inspired from a cross-country skiing trek at Rolling Hills Park near Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ski Tracks was an award winner at the Chicago Pastel Painters National Juried Show in December, 2017. Ski Tracks is professionally framed in a wood, rustic grey frame, balancing the colors of the landscape. See framed photos (note: framed photos show reflections in the glass). Paintings are original only and no reproductions are made. Most landscapes are painted on site (en plein air) and finished in the artistâ€s Saline, Michigan studio. Bob Palmerton has competed in many national and regional pastel painting competitions. He has taught landscape painting through his workshops and local art centers.
