The recommended proportion of coffee to water is 2 tablespoons (10g) of coarsely ground coffee for every 6 fl. oz. (180ml) of water. Please note, some of our coffee makers are sold with markings on the frame or glass beaker indicating this ratio guide. Caution: Use only coarse ground coffee. Fine grind can clog the filter and create high pressure. Place coffee maker on a heart resistant, non-slip surface. 3. Pour hot water (just off a boil) into the pot. Leave a minimum of 2.5cm/1 inch of space at the top. Stir the brew with a wooden or plastic spoon. Caution: Metal spoons can scratch or chip the glass beaker and cause breakage. 4. Do not press down unit until after the 4 minutes brewing process is complete.
