Jump (Horses) Series is a special work completed by Sol Storni for the awards ceremony of the Gran Derby General San Martin in Argentina. In creating this series Sol remarks, "The image-hop-horse-rider, jump or not to drop, and vice versa made me think about fears, and represents the force inherent in man to go forward, to achieve their potential through the proposed objectives. The title refers to jump, or not to drop the bit, to be or not be, and dare to cross our fears and stay there forever." According to Sol the black ink on white signifies, "polarity, positive, negative in black or white. What could be better I wonder, still left feeling the earthquake flow inside, or remain sheltered in doubt forever? Forms proposed by our mind, imaginary scenarios, and impossible trails...wings that allow release, trust and risk in a single exhalation. Jump or not to drop. Endless clouds and feathers at a time of fragile existence."
