About Stainless Steel Maple Taps, Sap Spiles, 25-PACK
25 taps per package. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, these taps have been field tested and perform flawlessly under high vacuum with 5/16” tubing. Check out the "Slide Hammer" for really easy installation and removal of these taps. Or use your own hammer to tap them in. It is recommended that you use a rubber or plastic head hammer so that you do not damage the taps. Tubing pushes right on to the barbed end of these taps. Taps can be used for collecting sap through tubing either in a tubing system or jut using 5/16 tubing to gravity feed a jug, pail, or tank at the base of your tree. -Can be sterilized by boiling in water each season to improve yield. -Made to last a lifetime with proper care. -Use a 5/16" drill bit to drill a hole into your tree and simply hammer this tap into place. -Made in USA.
