Please Note Although manufacturing was carefully controlled to limit any substantial cosmetic defects, there may be small scratches on the surface of the aluminum body, similar to that of brushed steel. This is normal and expected, as part of the anodizing process. When installing the wooden crank handle on to the crank lever, it is normal for it to feel stiff and to not rotate smoothly at first. This will almost always change after a few uses, and will quickly feel significantly smoother. Alternatively, apply a tiny drop of lubricating oil to the inside of the lever hole and wipe clean, to help loosen it up a little more.
