About Air Systems ASI-1200 Venturi Style Pneumatic Air

This blower has been designed to meet ventilation requirements for underground storage tanks. The ASI-1200 blower bolts directly on a special compatible flange adapter, Model ASI-12 ADPT (not included), which threads directly on the 4-inch vent pipe found on most storage tanks. Compressed air or saturated steam is the power source for these air movers (air horns). They operate on the venturi principle whereby you take a small volume of high velocity air from a compressed air source through the casting and out the nozzle jets. This creates a venturi action that induces large volumes of low velocity air moving through the venturi and out the air diffuser. A minimum 1/2" I.D. hose is recommended from the air supply source to the side inlet connection on the blower base. If the air mover is used to supply fresh air to a confined space, the compressor must be supplied with a Grade-D air filtration package of sufficient capacity (cfm). A carbon monoxide monitor with alarm should be installed. 1. Install desired coupling. Do not use less than 1/2" diameter fitting. Attach grounding wire between the base of the unit and tank. Do not restrict the internal diameter of the blower base as severe loss of output flow will result. 2. Tightly secure the air mover in place prior to turning on the air supply. (The additions of long lengths of duct to the air discharge end of the blower horn will cause flow loss.) 3. Attach compressed air source. 32.12" Overall length, 7.38" base diameter, 7.37" horn diameter, 1/2" NPT, 6.75" bolt circle, 0.31" base slot, 8.1 lbs weight. Revision 1, testing and specifications completed: June 9, 2005. Testing conditions: 81 F, 73 percent R.H., barometric pressure of 30.19 inches. Delivery air generated by an atlas copco 375cfm compressor.
