About Carbon Fiber Fabric 3K 5.7oz. X 50' Plain Weave
Fiberglass Warehouse Carbon Fiber Cloth - Plain Weave is a strong structural fabric with amazing looks. It’s one of the most popular fabrics for the automobile, sporting goods, and aerospace industry. The 1x1 Plain Weave Cloth looks more symmetrical with a small checkerboard style appearance. The short space between interlaces gives the plain weave the ability to maintain its weave angle, fiber orientation, and its high level of stability. This is a first-quality 3K cloth Made in the USA. 3K means it’s a fabric that has 3000 carbon filaments in each tow or bundle. The bundles are woven together to form the fabric, which makes it so strong, yet lightweight material. Its structural and cosmetic uses are widely known for building strong pieces with the classic carbon fiber look and awesome aesthetics, which makes it perfect for car hoods, dashboards, flat panels, modeling, aircraft, ships, engineering, robotics, and more. This carbon fabric can be used with epoxy resin to add a glossy clear coat on top of it. The stand orientation is 90 degrees. If you are using more than one layer, we recommend rotating every other layer 45 degrees in order to maximize its strength. Dimensions: 5.7oz, 50 inch width x 6 yards (18 ft) length.
