About Oakton WD-35802-13 Chloride Cl- Glass Body Double

The Oakton WD-35802-13 is a Chloride (Cl-), glass-body, solid-state, ion-selective electrode (ISE), with a double-junction to protect silver wire contamination and to help prevent clogging. It is commonly used to test river/tap water, plant tissue, soils, boiler feed water, blood electrolytes, sweat, urine, cement, plating baths, food samples, and in chemical analysis. It has a glass body to resist higher temperatures, and for effective sealing. The outer reference area is silver-free to resist contamination. The electrode houses a BNC-connected combination reference cell and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide a tight coaxial cable connection. The electrode is refillable, has a temperature range of 0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F), and a pH range of 2 to 12 pH. Its measuring range is 1.0 to 5E-5 M and 35,500 to 1.8 ppm. Interfering ions include OH-, S-2, Br-, I-, and CN-. The electrode has a typical response time of 20 to 30 seconds, varying with solution concentration. It is used with the Oakton Ion 510, pH 2500 Ion Benchtop, or Ion Acorn meters. It can also be used with any ion meter, or with any meter with a 0.1 mV resolution. The electrode comes with a 3-foot cable, replacement membrane, 15-mL of electrolyte and a filling pipette. Use with a calibration standard (sold separately). ISEs respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions, and are commonly used for water-testing, and to analyze biological samples in hydroponics, aquaculture, and agriculture. Oakton Instruments manufactures an array of scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. Since 1991, Oakton has distributed a wide variety of instruments such as meters, electrodes, and transmitters. Oakton is based in Vernon Hills, IL, and has facilities in Europe, Asia, and China.
