It also has very good corrosion resistance, especially to salt water, and can be readily welded. It displays a high fatigue strength, making it an excellent choice for structures subject to vibrations. This alloy is rated as "fair" for machining and most commonly produced in sheet, plate, and tube. It has been widely used in marine industry along with aircraft fuel lines and tanks, commonly used in electronics casings due to its high strength, lightweight and finishing qualities.
