About Maxi-smart Lapping Plate | Diamond Flattening Stone

Our team investigated different methods of whetstone flattening to reach perfect blades sharpening. But we are not satisfied with what we found: ▪ We have tested the sandpaper, but it has uneven wear and has low-quality grit; ▪ We bought different coarse-grit silicon carbide flattening stones, but they lost the smoothness after more than 20 times of hard passes; ▪ We tried Nagura. It is not a lapping tool, but it creates slurry and cleans surfaces; ▪ Diamond flatteners available on the market are pricey or their sizes are small and generate sticky surface. We designed the solution. The Maxi-smart Lapping plate for: ✓ Owners of 400-10 000 grit sharpening stone; ✓ Woodworkers who sharpen chisels, tools or plane blades on waterstones; ✓ Cooks or chefs who sharpen knives on whetstones; ✓ Honing masters who frequently perform; ✓ Persons who appreciate rigid stone flattener. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. I have got a product with CRAFTMAX logo. Since 2018, we've changed the name CRAFTMAX to MAFFALO. 2. When I am flattening my 3k+ stone, I can see tiny scratches. Is it ok? For sure, because of the nature of diamond and its aggressive surface. This is normal and does not affect the sharpening quality. 3. How often do I need to re-flatten my whetstone? As your sharpening stone wears. Lay the straight edge (ruler or engineers square) across the length and width of your stone. If you can see a gap between the edge and the stone, flatten it.4. Usually, how long does it take?Mostly, it takes near 2 minutes to flatten medium dished standard size waterstone. Make the reference grid by pencil, use running tap water. As the pencil lines disappear, the stone is flat again. After usage leave the plate to dry before storage.Grab your diamond lapping plate right now with limited 20% off!
