This class 150 Sharpe Valves FS54 series stainless steel 316 inline fire safe ball valve has a lockable lever handle and flanged connections on both ends. The valve is fire safe and meets American Petroleum Institute (API) 607 4th Edition standards for safety. This valve body is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304. Stainless steel 316 is sometimes called "marine-grade stainless steel" due to its resistance to chloride corrosion. This valve has a lockable lever handle for manual on/off control. The valve is standard (or regular) port for reduced valve size and cost. This valve has flanged ends for bolting to compatible-sized pipe flanges. The maximum working temperature is 500 degrees Fahrenheit. This valve meets American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B16.34 standards for quality assurance.Ball valves use a spherical disc to control the flow between pipes, tubes, or hoses.
