About Round Circular Disc Cutter Jewelry Making Metal

Constructed from solid steel, this disc cutter will punch perfectly rounded circles in 14 different diameter sizes. Ideal for punching metals into pendants and charms! Sizes: 3 mm, 4.7 mm, 6.35 mm, 8 mm, 9.5 mm, 12 mm, 14.3 mm, 16 mm, 17.5 mm, 19 mm, 20.6 mm, and 22 mm. Safety First: Always use proper eye protection and be cautious when using sharper-edged objects. Instructions: Use a disc cutter on top of a rubber bench block or pad for support. Use a cutting lubricant, such as "Cut Lube" to lubricate the cutting edges of the punch. Use a suitable mallet, never a nail-driving hammer. We suggest our 1 lb or 2 lb brass mallets which we sell in our store. Always be sure to support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal that you are cutting; this will help keep the upper and lower parts of the disc cutter in alignment and help minimize material sticking in the disc cutter. Do not exceed the maximum thickness recommended for your disc cutter. Only cut soft non-ferrous metals like brass, copper, silver, and gold. Make sure that your cutting edges are down. To prevent rust, keep your disc cutter well-lubricated between uses, and always be sure to store it in a dry location. We recommend to use this with a rubber bench block pad to extend the life of the cutters which can be found on our website. Finish your blank by drilling a hole for a chain or cord by using our 2-hole puncher that can be found in our shop. Also, try hand stamping letters, numbers, or shapes into your blanks! Browse our wide variety of stamps to suit your specific needs. Please contact us with any questions. Thanks for looking!
