About Fully-fretted Diatonic One-String Canjo Neck - Just

These poplar Canjo necks are hand-made in the C. B. Gitty workshops in the state of New Hampshire, USA, and we work hard to make sure they are a high-quality product! These poplar Canjo necks are hand-made in the C. B. Gitty workshops in the state of New Hampshire, USA, and we work hard to make sure they are a high-quality product! We use these same necks on our own various canjos as well as in our Complete Canjo Kit. These necks are roughly 27 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" thick (some may be very slightly thicker). They come pre-marked with lines for the nut and bridge for a 24 1/2" scale (usually the bottom of the can is the bridge) and pre-drilled holes in the face and the side for a tuner. This neck is also fully fretted to a 24 1/2" scale with high-quality medium/medium nickel-silver fret wire that has been end-dressed and should be ready for use, though of course you can always smooth things down even more if you prefer. These necks are fretted in the diatonic (dulcimer-style) scale, and include the "blue note".They come in an unfinished state with a "picking divet" section sanded out that is intended to give room for the plucking of the string(s) after the can is mounted. Please note that the exact appearance of each neck will vary depending on individual grain patterns. Some pieces may have a greenish hue, due to the nature of the hardwood (poplar) used. Total Length: 29 1/2" Scale Length: 24 1/2" Width: 1 1/4" Thickness: 3/4" Fretting: Diatonic Neck Wood: Poplar
