About Feeding The Machine

Swedish heavy metal masters WOLF strike back with their 8th studio album "Feeding The Machine" that offers intense and addictive headbanger anthems covering the straight-up speedy attack ('Shoot To Kill'), the infectious hooks ('Midnight Hour'), the darkly melodic ('The Cold Emptiness'), and gallopping riff-fests ('Feeding The Machine')! Featuring a gloriously morbid artwork by the legendary Thomas Holm (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond), WOLF know how to deliver the goods after letting fans wait for a new opus since "Devil Seed" in 2014. Recorded at SolnaSound (guitarist Simon's own studio), mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom at Studio Fredman (At The Gates, In Flames, Arch Enemy), "Feeding The Machine" is a bit of a fresh start for WOLF as vocalist Niklas Stalvind and guitarist Simon Johansson now have been joined by Pontus Egberg (King Diamond) on bass and drummer Johan Koleberg (ex-Therion, ex-Lion's Share) to bring an extra dose of reinvigorated energy and focus to the table. WOLF originally formed back in 1995 and belong to the earliest bands resurrecting and rejuvenating a traditional heavy metal sound during the 90's when ignorant folks pronounced heavy metal dead. Inspired by the likes of Iron Maiden, Metal Church, the NWOBHM, Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, Judas Priest, and classic speed metal from Canada to Germany, WOLF laid down the groundwork for what became a triumphant return of proper 80's influenced metal in the following years over the course of seven records. Especially in recent years, bands like Night Demon, Enforcer, Ram, Eternal Champion, Visigoth, Traveler, Haunt and many more further solidified what is an irrevocable fact: You cannot kill what has been forged in steel! "Feeding The Machine" will be released as 180gram black vinyl plus CD, limited CD digipak including an Angel Witch cover version and on all digital platforms!
