Medallion Brand liquid gold plating system is an easy way to give your dull, scratched, or just plain boring old jewelry a new life. This patented system instantly bonds to base metals, leaving precious and semi-precious stones safe from discoloration. This unique system will bond pure gold onto real gold, white gold, gold plate, silver, silver plate, platinum, rhodium, nickel brass, bronze, and copper. It will NOT work, however, on stainless steel, lead, pewter, tin, aluminum, lacquered or non-metallic surfaces. Using non-compatible metals may contaminate the liquid gold, so if you don't know what metal your jewelry is made of, we recommend not using this system. Some TECHNIBOND and Diamonique items are lacquered, so the lacquer must be completely removed before use. If a gold color does not appear within 15 seconds of immersion, the item may be lacquered. SOME MICROWAVES RUN HOTTER THAN OTHERS SO USING A SHORTER TIME IS SUGGESTED ORIGINALLY. SOLUTION DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE TO PLATE SO FOR INSTANCE, IF YOU PLATED AT 120 F IT WOULD JUST TAKE LONGER FOR THE PLATING TO OCCUR.
