About Escapade 1 By Anthony Sikich, 14x19-Inch
This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a red square with a star collaged over purple, white, and green overlapping rectangles. Born and raised in a rural area outside Chicago, Anthony Sikich attended Western Illinois University. Having received a BA Degree in Fine Art Education at WIU, he had originally planned to teach & sell artwork. His initial art sales were almost exclusively to Interior Designers, Architects and Display Coordinators through small, local Chicago galleries. Sikich went on to earn an Associate Degree of Interior Design at the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute. Today, Sikich resides in South Florida and works as an interior designer and participates in art and design related trade shows as well as gallery group shows in Miami. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
