UP200 ultrasonic pulser generates high voltage pluses to drive an ultrasound transducer. The device is light weight and powered by two AA size batteries. Pulse amplitude, duration or repetition frequency can be adjusted using buttons on the front panel. This ultrasound pulser is useful for learning ultrasound based non-destructive testing (NDT) technology. For example, you drive an ultrasound probe using the UP200 and examine the echoes on an oscilloscope to learn the flaw detection technology or how a thickness gauge works. The UP200 is a useful tool for calibrating or evaluating an ultrasound transducer (aka, ultrasound probe). UP200 is much affordable than OLYMPUS 5072PR or JSR's DPSR300 pulser/receiver. A demonstration video of UP200 is on Youtube by searching: "UP200 Pulser". You can also find an ultrasonic receiver (preamplifier) on eBay.
