About Amprobe WT-20 Conductivity/TDS Pen-Type Water

The Amprobe WT-20 Conductivity/TDS Pen-type Water Quality Meter measures the conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), and the temperature of water, and is used to troubleshoot corrosion and to test water in wastewater treatment facilities, labs, pools, aquariums, car washes, and aquaculture. The dual-display LCD screen simultaneously displays either conductivity and temperature or TDS and temperature. One-touch auto-calibration provides for in-field calibration, and requires no additional tools. The TDS factor can be adjusted from 0.4 to 1.0. The hold function saves the reading for recording. The auto power off feature turns the meter off after 20 minutes, and can be disabled for readings that require more time. The meter has a replaceable pH electrode, requires four A76 or LR44 batteries (included), and includes instructions. Specifications Conductivity range 0 to 1,999 uS (0 to 19.99 mS) TDS Range 0 to 1,999 ppm (0 to 19.99 ppt) Resolution 1 uS (0.01 mS) or 0.01 ppt (1 ppm) Accuracy + or - (1 percent of full scale) + or - 1 digit Calibration standard range (0.2 to 1) times full scale Temperature compensation 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C) Temperature coefficient 0 to 4.0 percent per degree C Normalization temperature 68-77 degrees F (20 to 25 degrees C) Calibration 2 points (+ or - 30 percent of factory default parameter) Dimensions 6.5 x 1.4 x 1.3 inches (165 x 35 x 32 mm) (H x W x D) Weight Approximately 0.12 lb. (56g) Standards Ingress Protection (IP)-65 for water- and dustproof body H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. Conductivity (EC) is the ability of a solution or material to conduct an electrical current. TDS measurement indicates materials such as salts, bases, or minerals, which contribute to electrical conductivity within a solution. pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. EC, pH, and TDS meters are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in aquaculture, agriculture, hydroponics, water-testing, and for scientific applications. Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA. What’s in the Box?
