About Veritas 860-5212 3/4"Dia Power Tenon Cutter
Veritas Power Tenon Cutters will cut smooth, perfect tenons every time. The cutters are designed to run vibration free while being driven by an electric drill. The anodized aluminum body has been balanced to eliminate vibration, and an integral level vial makes accurate in-line cutting easy. The body has a built-in honing guide for easy sharpening of blades on a drill-press mounted drum sander. The blade is adjustable to cut the exact size of tenon required in both dry and green wood. Eight cutter diameters are available. Sizes 5/8" to 1" which cut up to 2-3/4" long tenons are typically used for most rustic furniture. Sizes 1-1/4" to 2" which cut up to 4-1/4" long tenons are used for larger structural connections, such as bed frame to post, or fence rail to post. All sizes have a 3/8" hex shank. Sizes 1-1/4" to 2", which require more torque, must be used with 1/2" or larger drill motors. (Power Tenon cutters are not for use in a drill press.)
