Product Description Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is the optical analog of ultrasound imaging and is a powerful imaging technique that enables non-invasive, in vivo, high resolution, cross-sectional imaging in biological tissue. Between 30 to 40 Million OCT imaging procedures are performed per year in ophthalmology. The overall market is estimated at more than 0.5 Billion USD. About the Author Wolfgang Drexler received his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1991 and 1995, respectively, at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. From 2006 to 2009 he was a Full Professor of Biomedical Imaging at the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences at Cardiff University, Wales, UK. Since 2010 he is an Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cardiff University, UK. Since October 2009 he is a Full Professor of Medical Physics and the Head of the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria and is also Director of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Laser Development and their Application in Medicine since 2011.
